Virtual Short-Term Exchange for groups of pupils in Slovakia

Virtual Mobility
In Slovakia we realized virtual meeting. It lasted from 22 March to 24 March 2022, three days full of various activities connected with the topic
"Traditions".
1st Day
We started with Welcome programme prepared by Slovakian school: the speach of headmistress, students, song and dance,
Then each school presented poster about own traditions. Each school created also the presentation about own traditions and published in our website.

Students - participants could study partnership presentations before the meeting to get some knowledges about European traditions. Here you can see also the posters.
Each school managed the quiz after own presentation. This way children checked their knowledges at once. We used various portals to create the quiz: Wordwall, Kahoot, Quizzez, ...

2nd Day
We started the second Day with the talk and video about Slovakia, some geographical facts, beauties, prides of Slovakia. Short quiz follows.
Then we continued with festival od European traditions called "Traditions are our heritage". Each parnership country presented their traditional costumes, songs, dances, traditions.
We finished the program with the song "We are the World" which we sang together - all participants. Nice experience.
3rd Day
We finished international calendar - last 2 pages - April and December in which we showed our traditions - Easter and Christmas - the same in European countries. Our students got to know that in Turkey people remind different traditions.
The other pages of the Calendar were created before this meeting.
Each country presented their 2 pages, talked about holidays celebrated in their country.
Then we were finishing the international collages - we were working in Canva. We used children artworks created and exchanged before this meeting. Here is the result.
History lesson followed led by Slovakian school. We were talking about Bratislava - the capital of Slovakia, the history of this city and we mentioned also the life in this city in present time. We all were watching presentation about Bratislava, at the end there were some questions to check the knowledge.
Then pupils played interactive games online.
At the end of our virtual meeting all participants were doing the international quiz about European traditions.

The meeting fulfilled our aims. We have done everything by the plan, having a lot of fun together. All participants had possibility to know European traditions, songs, dances, holidays,...
